MD running great but oil dripping out of oil bath air cleane

I hooked the MD up to a disk and ran it for about four hours, white smoke is completely gone, no more missing and she runs and pulls great. I do have oil dripping out of the oil bath now when running. I filled it up to the line but has sit through a couple of torrential downpours at tractor shows this summer. Any ideas short of bad valves?

Where is it dripping from?

If the oil is dripping out around the seam where the cup attaches to the air cleaner, then you need a new air cleaner housing or a new cup. One or the other is bent and not sealing tightly as it should.

The oil gets sucked up into the steel wool inside the air cleaner and grabs on to the dirt as it goes by. Normally there is no place for it to leak.

If there was a lot of crud in the air cleaner cup and you cleaned that out and put in new oil, I'm betting the cup has holes in it. When the crude sits in there for years and a little moisture gets in, it goes to the bottom and corrodes the cup. Take the cup off and clean the oil out and then hold it up to the light. If you see pinholes, that is where the oil is coming from. I've had this happen on several tractors. Tried to repair with solder, but with the oil saturated in there you can't get the metal clean enough for the solder to stick. I've repaired a couple with JB weld and that has worked, no leaks on any that I fixed that way. The problem could be other things as noted by others below, but no one mentioned the corrosion.

Going to take the hood off and run it a while to see where its coming from. There was an inch of crud when I bought it in January. Checked the cup for water last night, none, suprising as when I picked it up from RPRU in Columbia,MO it wouldn't start. Removed distibutor cap to check the points and water ran out, can't imagine how that much water got in there overnight with the cap on.
Thanks for the help.
