IH 300 Tractor

My husband restored a IH 300 Tractor. He has passed away and I would like some idea of what to sell the tractor for. She's a beauty but I don't even know how to start her. Keeping her in the garage would be a shame. Someone needs to love it as he did and show it. I'm looking for suggestions as to how much to advertise it for.

Do you have any receipts or records of the work that was done to it mechanically?

It looks great! I would say for sure it's worth more than $2500 without knowing anything else about it.

In my opinion, the best way to sell it would be an eBay auction with many pictures, a comprehensive description, and if at all possible a video of the tractor running, driving, and a slow walk around of it.

Next best selling area would be photo ads on this website (have lots more photos to share with any interested buyer) and list it as best offer - take offers for at least two weeks and see where you are at. Keep track of everyone's name and phone number so you can let them know the current highest offer from time to time.

The ads over at smokstak.com get pretty good coverage, too.

LOTS of pictures! Video is even better!

Is that a highway or blacktop in the back-ground?? I'd put it out on the grass with a "make an offer" sign to see what folks would give.

Trudy,

If that thing is in as good mechanical as it is cosmetic I would put a minimum of $4,800 and see what happens.

Take a swing thru the photo ads at left or just google IH 300 for sale and see what you find.

Don"t let anyone rush you into selling without first gaining some knowledge. Ask someone local who is not interested in buying it to give you some advice. Things always seem to work out well when you are not in a hurry to sell.

Best wishes.
