B-275 clutch

My cousin has a International b-275 with a clutch problem ( I think ).. I used it a while back and the clutch works fine but the problem is you have to stand up on it to push it down. Is that normal for this tractor? The IT Manual doesn"t address this problem. Thanks for any help. Tom

Hi Tom, the B-275 should have a 2 stage clutch, half way down stops transmission, all the way to the floor board stops PTO. There is a grease zerk on the clutch cross shaft assembly and there maybe another grease zerk on the throwout bearing.
Now do you mean that to stop the PTO you have to stand on the clutch? OR the clutch is so hard to depress you have to stand on it?
If it is to stop the PTO then the clutch requires adjusting and if that still doesn't fix it then it is the finger adjustment on the pressure plate that controls the release of the PTO clutch?
