CAV pump seal update

Just an update on my IH 364 diesel in my oil question. I pulled my injection pump out today and it was dripping in my hand. I removed the seal and it was loose and it was leaking thru the seal as well as around it. Also if anyone needs just the input shaft seal. It also fits a manual steering pitman shaft for a 1965 BMW (believe that. Part number 10924. I ordered one - i hope all goes well

John, good to hear that it was the seal and it is available. Just don't get the pump out of time. If you do accidentally turn the drive shaft, turns it 2 turns as the pump only rotates at half the engine RPM.

i marked everything and i am making sure nothing moves. I even marked the position of the pump
