Wire Mesh for Radiator Grill

On my 350U, I want to install the wire mesh screen in the radiator grill but the little tabs that were used are fragile from rust. Does anyone have alternative suggestions?

Most guys who aren't too concerned with originality use quarter- or half-inch hardware cloth.

It must be clean so body putty will work or fiberglass resin

I've seen people solder the screen back in, or I think OEM sells the screen clips.

There are a few vendors who sell the correct screen. I got mine from Mark's Tractors 217-694-4735. Ask for the little fold-over clips too. I know what you're running into with those little bendable tabs. Try to move them as little as possible; they're extremely fragile. With patience it will work out fine though. I've done several with good luck. Patience, patience......

I recently redid a Farmall C. The outside clips that bend down were rust. I used a wire welder and stick it then run out some wire and cut it off. I put the wire mesh in and bent the wire down. My dad did one and used some two part epoxy and glued the mesh. Both ways work will
