I found a owners manuel for the model 2 harvester and looking at the manuel it looks like the corn stalks have to bend to get to the cutter is that true? Also the manuel states that a Farmall H can run it under light conditiones, does anyone know if a madel H can run it. How were IH model 2 harvesters? Would like to here some storys about them.

Rick, I don't know the model 2 forage harvester, so I can't comment on that. I do know that my uncles chopped huge amounts of dryland corn in Nebraska in the 1950's with their farmall H's pulling an IHC pto-driven ensilage cutter with a big wagon behind that. A heavier stand of corn, such as irrigated corn, would be more difficult, of course. kelly
