Farmall M Seriel # Question

I was looking at a Farmall M yesterday that had a serial # 100166 X-1. I am not sure of the first two numbers on the serial #, but the rest is as it was. Would this be an experimental model, or do all M's have this X-1 after it. Thanks - Bob

X1 just indicates its strictly a gas engine.
