I've seen 2 different versions, but which is correct? Do the front lights mount on the radiator or to the front bolster low for a 1951 W6? My W6 had pads bolted to the side of the radiator at one time but I have a brochure from '46 that shows the optional lights mounted to cast iron brackets low on the bolster. Also, where should the rear light mount to, probably the left fender but high or low? Thanks!

Ive seen it done a few ways, to the grill(Rad), on the side of the casting and below the casting. I have seen a channel frame -6, but it could be the channel frames had them mounted on the side of the grill.

I believe the change from lower cast light brackets took place with the 1948 model year. 1948 with the lights on the front hood/grill. My 1945 W4 has lower cast brackets. A friend of mine has a 1947 W4, it has cast brackets. My 1951 W6, has them on the front grill, top, side. The cast brackets were the same for the W4, W6, W9.1947 and older. cheerzzzz

My 49 W4 has them mounted on the grill. I just went by the fact that there were wires going out there and a triangle bolt pattern in the sides of the grill. The older ones I've seen only had one bolt hole on each side and the lights mounted down below.

Just my observations.
