ih 2000 loader

first off do you guys think the ih 2000 loader will operate and hold up on a 706. this is the first loader i have had on a tractor and wanted to know what to expect from it like lift hight carrying capacity etc. also does anyone know where i can get a bucket for moving dirt for this loader. it doesn"t have one and i dont know what type to or size

The #2000 was primarily intended for smaller tractors. A #3000 would have probably been recommended for a 706. But IH did consider it a valid combination. So it should work OK but you could probably tear it up badly if you put your mind to it. You just need to come up with the right mounting package.

Lift height on that tractor would probably be around 150 inches. If it has single way cylinders it will probably lift 1,300# to full height. With two way cylinders it would be around 2,000#.

I can't help you on finding a bucket.

as far as mounting it up it has already been put on. and should it stand up to moving hay bales and dirt until i can find a 3000 loader. or find somewhere to trade this one in for the 3000 or do you know where i could get one by any chance.

Pretty much any bucket can be put on it. Just weld brackets on that line up with the arms. Make sure they're reinforced enough so the back of the bucket doesn't bend and that they're located to give full movement of the bucket. Size of the bucket isn't critical but judge for yourself how much those arms will take, I have a 60" on mine and it seems like enough.

We have a 2000 on a 656. That not much smaller than a 706. It works well. You could probably tear it up moving dirt it you werent careful. It will be fine for moving bales. I move 4 x 4.5 high moisture rounds with mine.

In the IH Loader Sales Brochure, the 706 is included in the application list for the 2000 loader.

It also gives the 2000's load capacity at full height as 2330 lbs, and the max height (at bucket pivot) as 10'-7".

dad has got a 706 diesel with the IH 2000 loader on it. makes a good match. runs it fine and even plowing wet snow and moving dirt it never gets light in the rear end

thanks for all the help from the info i got i think i wont something a little more heavyduty. something that i can abuse a little more and not tear up. so where could i get a 3000 loader from or could i go to the local case/ih dealer and trade this 2000 in for one.
