I'm going to put a new set of spark plugs in the 300. What is the best set of plugs to put in there? It has Autolite in there now. Is there a "hotter" plug to put in there to gain a few ponies? Also I am going to remove the belt pulley trans. I asked a few weeks ago about removing it. It looks like there is 4 bolts to remove is that right? However there are 2 bolts that look like they run up into the pulley casing from the trans on the tractor are those just alignment pegs? Hope it is easy to remove looks like there isn't much clearance! Any info is much appriecated. Thanks in advance!

Use Champion D18Y plugs, my Dad's 300 and most all our Farmalls have the D18Y Champions in them. They are very good plugs.

Autolite 386 is the standard plug. 388 is hotter.
Autolites perform better and last longer than Champions, but that is just my opinion based on the fact that I have a few Champion plugs that were bad right out of the box.
