hey guys, i got an 806 deisel that the steering is hard to turn and the brakes are not right. also the tractor does not move. where should i start? i usually work on deeres. thanks

Would suggest that you look in the drive line between the clutch and the input to the TA if equipped. Sounds like a spline coupling has disconnected or splines worn out. I believe the PTO will also not function since the live shaft to the pumps and PTO are the same. Per Mr. Thinker in that other web site, get a good parts and repair manual!

Rust collector has you started on the right trail. If I may add to it.

If the PTO doesn't work, look for stripped splines in the clutch backing plate or the PTO drive shaft. Common problem.

If the PTO works, start looking at the MCV and its pump. You will DEFINITELY need a book for this.

Sounds like the front pump, the one that is inside the MCV. is not pumping. This pump locks up the T.A. works the steering, and brakes.
