Question for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick old-iron guys

Any of you fellows in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick know of any tractor or old iron shows during the period of Sept 22 - Oct 5? Probably a bit late in the year for those shows, but sure would like to attend while in that area.

Off the top of my head there is an antique tractor pull (normally quite a good one by our standards) in Upper Stewiacke, NS on the last weekend of September. I"ll have a little hunt around and post back with some more info. Sam

Sam: A little bird told me you now live in the Musquodoboit Valley. How about the show Rally in the Valley, used to be Thanksgiving weekend, but I understand it has been changed to the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Now since I'm on the subject of where you live, may I suggest you contact a dairy farmer by the name of Dean Cole. Tell Dean I said to find you a nice young country girl for a wife. On second though, not such a good idea, Dean will think I'm instramental in having you hitting on his daughters. Little girls when I left there, but by gosh they are probably in their 20s by now. Try that one and your on your own, don't give me credit.

Oh dear, are you becoming a matchmaker now?

I'm up in the Annapolis Valley right now and I just had 11 of my Farmalls lined up along side the road and did they ever stop traffic!! What a way to meet people!

Robbie: Lining his tractor up along the road, that is what Sam will have to try, if he wants to meet those young ladies. He may have already met them, from the discription Murray gave me he might be living in their late grandmother's house.

I've met Sam personally, I know that family, Sam would fit in. Dairy farmers with not a lot of mechanical expertise.

Robbie; Friend of mine tried that, same results as your getting. He had about a dozen Cockshutts, some partially restored. After a few weeks passed, he started getting guys wanting to sell him their tractor, very reasonable as long as it would be restored or used to restore another. Great way to make new friends and establish ongoing visitors. Some of these guys would come and help with restorations, and exercise the tractors.

You might have a business oportunity there, a club for ex tractor owners. It might be better for them than golf.
