Replacement PTO Shaft Question

Looking to purchase a PTO shaft with a slip clutch for a Bush Hog SQ72 for use behind a 340U or 364dsl.

Does a PTO shaft asm. with a slip clutch also function as a overrunning clutch? Also when measuring for a PTO shaft do you measure tip of tractor PTO to tip of gear box shaft at limit of travel up and down?

Thanks in advance for any advise or comments...
