Hi! Seen a tractor looks like a 574. On tag it says I574D-RC. Is this a regular 574 deisel? or Like a english tractor? the 3pt hitch don't work. Won't go down or up. Seems like no hydraulic pressure at remotes either. Any Idea what can be wrong? Thanks

Does PTO turn, but requires hydraulic pressure to engage PTO clutch. Could be spline teeth are worn off pressure plate that drives the main PTO shaft that the hydraulic pumps runs off.
Power steering will not work either, only by manual pump that is in steering mechanism.
Only one hydraulic pump at 12 GPM and MCV valve splits 9 GPM to 3pt & remotes and 3 GPM to PS & PB. Check hydraulic fluid level with dip stick by your left heel when sitting on seat.

re I574D-RC, International 574 Diesel with D-239 German Diesel engine, RC, my guess is Row Crop with high front and rear wheels.

Hi Wants, that would be parking brake band material. Common problem on those models, idiot light burns out on dash and Operate drives with parking brake engaged. The parking brake is a band around a drum in the range transmission which is under the seat under the 3pt hydraulic housing. Big $$ labour to change. So change the Hytran and hydraulic filter a couple times. Must have clogged the splitter valve in the MCV valve.

There is a draft control dump valve under the seat than can become clogged and will not let the 3pt hitch go down.

This you can try at your own risk at low idle:
Turn the PS one way till it hits the limit and you hear the hydraulic relief valve squeal. And the other is activate the remotes till you hear the relief valve squeal. This sometimes causes enough shock in the hydraulic system to dislodge a stuck MCV valve. The DANGER IS IF your hydraulic lines to PS or remotes are worn or weak this could cause one of then to blow out.

Good Luck
