IH460 Hydraulic problem

My IH 460 has a problem in the hydraulic system. The lift works fine, I just moved several rolls of 5X5 hay with no problem, but when I try to lift the cutter bar on my disk mower it will hardly move it at full throttle. I am using a single hose to the cylinder and have moved the cam on the front side of the valve both ways,but neither position makes any difference. What do I try next? Thanks for any help. doorman

First get a hyd. pressure gauge and check your pressure should be around 1450 , may be a bit low. But my thinking on this is that that piece of equipment may need a tractor that has over 1750 as all the newer tractors are pushen over 2200 , now if your disc mower has it's owen hyd cyl. they may be only 2 inchers and they need higher pressure . Been thru this with my buddy as he just can not get a handle on the fact that the old J D 720 does not have enough hyd. pressure for the new equipment . This also apples to my S/H and also my S/MTA
