I have a chance to buy this 5" mower for my 340 but can find no info online about who makes it or if my tractor could handle it. Anyone ever heard of this Hi-Lo brand? Thanks, Doug

Doug, I have a 340 rowcrop that I run a 6ft King Kutter with no problem. Can't say I ever heard of that brand though. Good Luck

Thanks Putter, at least I know it should handle it now. If I can't find any info on the Hi-Lo, King Kutter is what I'm going to buy, either 5 or 6'. I have some heavy cutting to do like 2" brush or a little bigger. Would you reccommend that with your King??

Doug, I would recommend getting the one that is close to as wide as your wheels are set. When I bought my King Kutter the first thing I did was add more weld to the thing. I have put 2" stuff through it but it makes a hellava racket. Be careful nothing come out and hits anyone. I use mine to keep pasture cut back, the trees are trying to take it over. You need to keep it sharp. I tip mine up by hooking onto the back and pulling it up till I can get at the blades with a 4" grinder. Make sure you pick up extra shear bolts if you get the king kutter, also change the oil in the gearbox annually. Feel free to ask questions. PUTTER

I'd be using mine to keep the pasture back as well. I have waited way too long to get something to cut with. Guess I'll do some chain saw work on the bigger stuff to be on the safe side. I did try out my neighbor's brush cutter to see how my tractor would perform. Went over some big stuff and I know what you mean about the racket! Thanks for all the good advice, Doug

I now found out I was wrong about the name. It is a Hico (Howse Implement Company) out of Laurel Ms. Found quite a bit of info on the net and mgoing to see it tomorrow.
