656 hydraulic leak

I have a 656 gas, gear drive that is leaking hydraulic fluid from the back of the auxillary control. There is a hole in it and a flat head adjustment screw up in there. The fluid is streaming out of there pretty good when i was mowing. Any suggestions please.

You will need to get a manual so ya know what your doing here as the unlatching valve has a cut or in the o/ring or has broken and will need to be replaced . This is not a hard job but you will need to get the unlatching valve and a couple o/ rings . When ya have it apart look for any rough spots and use fine emery cloth to polish lube everything up with clean hy tran and do not use rags to wipe things off use compressed air.

Anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit or do i need to pull it apart and start shopping o rings???

I disassembled everything and am missing the o ring on the unlatching valve. I have no idea how big it is nor where exactly it goes as the diagram in the manual doesn t show where it actualluy goes (its exploded view) Does it go on the little notch on the unlatching rod? Going to try my local dealer tomorrow but havent had a lot of success in the past with that...

My 706 had the same problem today. I took everything apart and this o-ring was pretty chewed up.

I am so angry that this o-ring only comes on this pin. I looked all over for an o-ring this small, and I didn't have any luck.

It is pretty bad that you need to buy a $26 part plus shipping to get a 25 cent o-ring.

I am going to still look for one just in case I need to do this job again.
