Leaking oil head gasket Farmall C

I just rebuilt the engine on my 51 C farmall. It starts and runs great but since it has gotten warm this summer (90's). My head gasket on the spark plug side has been leaking oil and ruined a new paint job. I was thinking about removing the valve cover and retorquing the head or simply adding some oil stop leak. Any ideas or thoughts from anyone. I am a little frustrated because I spent a lot of time and money restoring the tractor. Thanks for your help.

I had a leak in the same place on my 48 C. I added one bottle of Bar's Stop Leak and the leak went away as far as I can tell. It worked so good I added some to my Ford 3600 and a leak stopped. The 3600 leak was on the front of the engine at a source I could not see. That leak also stopped.

I am not saying Bar's is magic but it worked for me.

You can retorque it , i have done this on several. You will be suprized to find it not to factory torque spec.

They seen to change shape after there warmed up, i always go back and retorque the head. I also spray copper on booth sides of the head gasket prior to installing it.

The copper fills in all the small imperfections in booth surfaces.

If you have not retorqed the head bolts you will need to do it. Make sure you pull the bolts down to 80 Ft Lbs. Did you coat the gasket with copper coat or aluminum paint?

I added one bottle of Bar's Stop Leak

He had a oil leak at the head. I've never heard of using Bars Stop Leak in engine oil! David..........

I didn't use Radiator Stop Leak. I used Bar's Leaks Engine Oil Stop Leak, restores gaskets and seals. Instructions says add one bottle to engine oil. I hope I didn't mess up two engines.
