JUST WONDERING HOW TO TELL THE DIFFERANCE FROM A FARMALL H AND A SUPER H. I JUST BOUGHT A SUPER H AND I WANT TO VERIFY THAT IT REALLY IS A SUPER H. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

There are many minor differences, especially if you got a Stage 2 Super H. But, whether stage 1 or stage 2, the SH has a larger carb than an H - looks like the M family of carbs; choke lever mounts to carb on engine block side. Super H has a casting on the side of the block under the #3 & #4 spark plug which reads "C-164".
If you have a serial number plate, the serial number should start with "SH".
Look at the casting dates on various components. They should end with a "Y" (1953), or a "Z" (1954), although there were just a few regular H's made in early 1953.
Disc brakes - round brake housings rather than elipitical. Although, again, some very late regular H's came with disc brakes.
This ought to get you started identifying your tractor.
Biggest difference between stage 1 and stage 2 is live hydraulics. If the battery is under the seat and there is a hydraulic valve body - looks like a square red iron block under the gas tank - it is a stage 2.
