hey all, having a big problem removing my drive train clutch on my 1971 lo-boy 154 ,from what i can see there is a bolt that runs through the clutch plate once removed i guess it is supposed to slide towards the engine? to be removed ? can some one please run me through the steps so i can get that sucker out of there as my clutch disks are shot. the plate only slides up so far on that splined shaft what gives?, is that the way it is supposed to be done? any help would be appreciated, thanks

I think you need to split the tractor to gain access to the clutch. When you pull the engine
the clutch will clear the splined shaft and can be easily removed. Carolina Clutch & Brake can rebuild your old clutch. Call them at 1-800-334-6883. Hal

Hi Bill, You need a good service manual that covers your tractor. Need the clutch disc and pressure plate to clear the spline and the pic doesn't help much. Hal
