I have tried to post a photo, but when I put it in the Gallery all that shows up is a red "X", inside a "square box" which is inside "two adjoining sides" of a box. I can click on that all I want but no picture comes up. What am I doing wrong?
Also, my instructions say to make sure it is a "JPEG" immage. Can anyone tell me what that means and how to tell what I have?
Thanks for any help.

JPEG is an image format. Most digital cameras take pictures in this format.

What is the name of the file you are trying to upload? It should have a name with ".jpg" at the end if it's a JPEG. Otherwise you will need to convert it.

Without sitting there with you and watching what you do, there is no way to know what you did wrong, if you did anything wrong in the first place.

JPEG is just the extension of the image or type of image. Most or some of the computers these days are setup to hide the extensions of most or all files or pictures, if you hover your mouse (just put the cursor over the pic don't click on it) over the picture it will tell you what it is. Some pictures are .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg those are extensions. It asks you to browse to your picture to upload so make sure it's a .jpeg or .jpg and find it on your pc double click on it and you should be set.

Hope this helps.

Post the web site you're using for your picture.
Needs to be exactly what you're using. Hal
PS: Have you tried the "Advanced Posting Tools?"
It works fine for one picture.

Here's one using the Advanced posting Tools. Hal

When you get a red X like this there's something wrong with your picture web site. Could have too many symbols or punctuation. I'm going to post
a red X since I will intentionally add an extra period after the 9 in the web site. Hal
PS: If you right click the red X and left click on Properties the web site will appear. You can then see the extra period after the 9.
