IH 504 gas - the auxillary valve will only raise my haybine (or anything else- one way or two way cyls) if the engine is idling, or it will raise it when the engine is at high rpm if the steering wheel is being held to either side (hydrostatic power steering). I am pretty sure it is the flow divider that is the culprit- I have done all the easy stuff already (fluid change, filter, changed hose fittings, etc.). My question is how to tell reasonably for sure that I can sink $ into a new unit without getting the shaft when it still doesn"t work? Has anyone had this problem happen in this way; can i look for a bad part in the divider valve and renew it? I appreciate any help.
