Im having a tough time getting my little B to start. It has plenty of spark, spins over good, and is getting fuel, but wont run for anything. Pulled it around last night trying to start it and still nothing. Is there something Im overlooking?

Have you tried pulling the air tube off the carb and holding your hand over it and try to start the tractor?? If it tries to start then you have a clogged carb. Did it just one day die or have you done some work to it and got something wrong?? Is the firing order correct if you changed the cap its easy to goof that up

The cap was removed, along with the plug wires, but I had them marked(though it doesnt mean I still didnt screw it up). I'm beginning to think thats probably what I did. I removed the carb and cleaned it, but didnt take it apart before i painted the machine.

Make sure that the timing is correct and that the plug wires are in the correct order in the cap. Have you done a compression test in all the cylinders? How much do you have in each cylinder? Do you have a magneto or a distributor? If you have a magneto, are the rotor drive gears in the correct time?

Good luck!

Wel first off double check which direction the rotor turns. Then get #1 up to TDC. Look where to rotor is and hook up the wires. It will either be correct or 180 out

Your wires should be in this firing order:
2-1
4-3

That's if the No1 piston was at TDC when the mag or distributor was installed. Hal

Rotor and wires are correct, is in time, has spark, but not enough to fire. Belive the mag may be to blame.

My C did the same great spark gas was getting there, and I thought the timming was on but nope, don't forget to snap the coupler back on the mag after you put it in tdc on 1 comp. stroke.
