JUST PUT A LIFT ON SUPER H. HOW DO I ADJUST IT DROPPING TO FAST. ALSO IT HAS HYDRAULIC OIL IN IT SHOULD I DRAIN AND USE SAE 30

Are you talking about a belly pump or a live pump?

Belly pump on the older stage 1's are designed for 30wt. Not sure how to adjust the rate of drop.

Live pumps, not sure, others will know.

Adjustable check valves are available from hydraulic suppliers. They allow full lift, then restrict drop with a setting, or orifice change. JimN

The pump is not the cause for dropping fast. If you want to slow the drop put a drop retarder in the line used to use them on mounted pickers go to your hy shop they should have them.

"Drop retarder," "adjustable check valve..."

I know them as "flow restrictors." When you look at them you will notice that instead of a large hole for the fluid to move through, there will be a tiny hole.

Note that these will also slow down your up, too.
