Adding 3pt Hitch to 340u with Loader Hydraulic Plumbing ?

Have a 340u with belly pump that is plumbed directly to the loader control valves on a Wagner Loader . We are trying to get the 3 pt hitch working again so it can be used for bush hogging duty. Currently the supply line from the belly pump goes directly to the loader valves.

Is it possible to tee off the supply line to the loader and run a line to the original valve blocks mounted in front of the seat for the 3pt and remote? The line that originally supplied the 3 pt hitch and rear remotes was rerouted to the loader when the loader was installed years ago.

Thanks in advance for any advice, opinions or comments for my hydraulic skills or surely amateur at best......

If you don't have a parts manual, look up the online parts on www.caseih.com. The 3 point blocks and the remote blocks are different. The loader should be attached to two of the remotes, for lifting and tilt, the 3 point has its own block--I have no clue why the guy hooked it to the 3 point block, unless it only had one remote.

The 340u has the correct 3pt and remote blocks. The loader has a pair of control valves mounted on the loader frame. The problem is that when the loader was installed the supply line from the original blocks was moved to feed directly to the loader valves. This removed the supply line to the original 3pt and remote block.

Since we would now like to also feed the original valve blocks (3pt and remote)can we just tee into the supply line going to loader to feed them?

thanks.....

I am going by what is on my 460U, which has hydraulics similar to the 340. I imagine you can tee into it, but you are going to have to have shut off valves or something for the loader, or be able to disconnect it, or moving the 3 point lever is going to move both the loader and the 3 point. If it was mine, I would try to set it up like it is supposed to be. Do you have 1,2,or 3 remotes? Look closely at the diagrams in the parts manual, and compare with what is on your tractor. Two remotes are enough for the loader -- if it only has one, that is the reason the line from the 3 point was used. I've only worked on the hyd on my 460U once, so I'm no expert.

You can't tee into it. It's an open center system. If you tee into it, nothing will work because the oil will always have a low-pressure path back to the reservoir.

The whole system needs to be one large single circuit. Run the line from the OUT port on the loader valves to the IN on the tractor's remotes. Everything will work fine then.

Thanks for the info!
Think I am getting a better idea of how things work. The open center of the loader valves vent fluid to the return line when the loader valves are centered. Thats why I can not tee into supply line from pump.right?

Is the OUT port on the loader valve asm. the port the return line is connected to? I know that sounds fuuny but all the terms for ports gets confusing(OUT, RETURN and Power Beyond).

thanks again for the help.....

I guess I need to get the info off the loader valves and see if I can find some documentation on them.

So I end up with 7 lines to two spool loader valve asm.I currently have 6.
1--------input from belly pump
2-3-4-5--outputs to loader cylinders
6--------return to tank
and after
7 -------POWER BEYOND to the added 3pt hitch valve.

Power Beyond port supplies Hyd power at pump pressure to additional valves is this correct?

thanks for the info...
