1942 Farmall H update

Hi guys, I wanted to update you all that I've made just shy of 500 square bales using the H and a JD 14T baler. Once I got it somewhat figured out, thanks to you all, the H/baler worked great and didn't shear bolts any longer. It was great making my first square bale that was actually mine after having grown up helping farmers (in the Bad Axe, MI area) on their farms baling. Thanks again for your help.

After all the people who said you need a bigger tractor and live PTO to make it work... WOW!

But seriously, I'm glad your H and baler worked so well. Pictures and videos would be great! I've been working on getting a JD 14T baler myself - anything to look out for?

The H was the most common tractor used for baling hay in the 50s where I lived. There were a few Ms in use.Cant imagine why any one would say you need a bigger tractor or live PTO to bale square bales.I just put up 135 bales with a Ford 600,2 ties missed at the beginning. No binding or choaking up or shear bolts broken.Raking up even wind rows seems to help.
