Touch Control Rebuild Question

I am rebuilding the touch control block on my Super C. All the pictures and posts on the process helped a lot, but I have run into what might be a problem and need some input from someone who has done this successfully. The O-rings for the control valves that came with the rebuild kit seem to small. The valve seems to go into the hole way to easy, and once in place I can move the valve in and out a little and feel the O-ring moving back and forth in the groove. The new o-ring seems to have the right ID and OD but is not quite as fat. Has anyone else run up against this?

Go to a bearing/seal place, or perhaps even an auto parts store (NAPA, etc), and match the ones you have. Or buy an overpriced complete set in a nice box as I did and you will never have that problem again.
