O.T. Alternator question Toyota

I have an 88 toyota truck. It has a new battery and the alternator was rebuilt under 10,000 miles ago. I get 14.5 volts when the truck is running.
My problem is if I leave the truck sit without starting it and the battery discharges. As close as I can tell it is about .3 to .4 volts per 24 hour time period.
I took out all the fuses under the hood and the battery still runs down. I asked a friend and he said on chevys some alternators will drain the battery when they go bad. Has anyone heard of this? Ron

Disconnect ALL the wires from the alternator (tape any exposed ends for safety), let it sit, and see if the battery still discharges.

After disconnecting the alt. wires, use an ammeter in between each wire & where it attaches to the alt. Check current draw. My guess is a shorted diode or regulator bad.
Do you have a replacement alt. to sub in & try?
