I take a lot of pride in my farmall regular, its a 1928 and very orginial, and runs decent,I refuse to pain it up,and I think it adds class to it by leaving it rusted, this year its been nominated by my club as THE MOST UGLY,Ive never won anything so maybe Ill get lucky this year

"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder:

Dont feel bad. I had a similar thing happen with my Super M.
I didnt win,But I got over it (LOL)

Look at it this way, it may be ugly, but it is a whole lot closer to being original than if it had one of those high dollar automotive super high gloss paint jobs.

Original is always better.

Jimmy: I'm with you on that. My Super M is nearly all original paint and even though it is faded, chalky and thin in spots, I would not paint it for anything. I like the "patina" it exudes. Now, the Super H has been repainted at least once - poorly - and I have no doubts whatsoever about repainting it properly one of these days pretty soon. mike

Hi James sorry for shouting but DO NOT PAINT IT. Here in the UK an orignal tractor causes far moor intrest at a show than a painted one and it is allways worth more money. I have an unpainted 1945 Farmall H with a wide front and liftall with mid and rear toolbars. I bought this tractor 6 years ago from a farmer whos farther bought it new for him when he was 16 yrs old. When i went to collect it he told me i was the second man to sit on the seat. MJ
