Farmall A Pulley

On a Farmall A (C-113) motor, what holds the pulley tight on the crank shaft? I am putting mine back toghther after painting, but the pulley just had the 1/2 moon key, and it seems to me, just the fan and gen. belt keeps it in place. I checked with an Case-IH parts man and looked it up but couldn't find anything. Can any of you help?

Thanks for the response on my question, but it is off and it slide back on very easy. How do I tighten it up, to keep it in place, or will it stay with the fan belt holding it?

The pulley is supposed to be a press fit but since yours slides easy i would drill and tap two places one to hold at the key way and it should hold as some did have a set screw but most just were pressed on. Use a 3/8 set screw ALLEN HEAD.

Loctite has a product for tightening up parts that are supposed to be a press fit. I would check that option.

Just pushing it on and expecting the fan belt to hold it is a short path to needing to replace both the pulley and the crankshaft.
