Cub Hydraulic Fluid

Here it is, Sunday, and there's not a drop of Hy-Tran fluid to be found within 100 miles. I do have some New Holland 134 in the garage. What do you think....could this be used as an equivalent?

Go for it!

I use ATF in my Super A.

I think....no, I KNOW, that most people do not understand that ATF is one of the most advanced forms of hydraulic fluid available. ATF is full of all the right additives to protect the valve bodies inside a transmission and it absolutely, positively has to have anti-foaming agents......all great things for a tractor hydraulic system. It is readily available most everywhere and when it comes time to change the hydraulic fluid in my new JD.......ATF is going back in.

134 will work as will plain old 20 or 30w non detergent motor oil. Not sure what ATF would do to the seals?
