Was wondering if a person could add a belt starter to a tractor that does not have a starter hole.

On an A there is too much resistance to use a belt driven system. Several have used the belt pulley and made use of a flex plate from an automatic trans car, with a ring gear on it, and a starter motor that meshes with it to start engines with no provision for a starter. JimN
