Which way is up for that water jacket cover on the side of the M engine?

The cover has "top" stamped into it at the top.

Hi Rusty,

Nope. I looked for the "Top" stamping, and didn"t see it. This is a new cover bought through the YT Mag site. Foreign made. Nice looking panel, but "Top" and "Bottom" are not marked. Thanks for the quick response, though.

Does anyone know of a good paint for coating these water jacket covers, so that they last a long time?

try por 15, it is a conversion primer, 2 coats, tough as nails, try googling por 15.

Don't know if an M is different, but on my H the cover says "TOP" on it, the "TOP" should face up.

the 2 "holes", for lack of a better word, on the two "flues" on the inside face down.
