TRACTOR WITH VW CASTING

Know of a international tractor that has a ih casting emblum on eng block and a vw casting embulum next to it on eng.Has any one ever run acros this befor? It has a # 11990 number for serial number and transfer case has #304404sr and is a 4 cylinder diesel eng.Thankes for any help in determing what it is.

All I can add is if it is VW as in Volkswagon the VW was always inside a circle on any VWs that I ever worked on.

The VW is inside of a circle,with the V on top of the W as in the two volkswagon I owned a very - very long time ago.

Many IH tractors were built in Germany, and many more had diesel engines built in Germany. Most of the IH utility tractors built in the '60s, '70s, and early '80s had a "Neuss" diesel engine.

Unfortunately the serial number and a vague description of the number of cylinders in the engine won't help in identifying the tractor. We need more, like part numbers off the casting.
