I was going to do an inframe overhaul on my 706 gas which has a 263 engine {I thought}, after getting it apart I find it has been bored to a 291,I ordered an in frame kit for a 291 then I find out it has M&W sleeves and pistons which has a large dia. flange on the sleeve which the kit I got has small dia. flanges on the sleeves, now they tell me the M&W sleeve hasn't been made for a number of years so all I can do is get a 291 block from a junk yard and rebuild that with the small dia counter bores, any one out there run into this before? Al

LA Sleeve will make any sleeve. Send them your old one, and they will do it. Get pricing etc. They are on line. JimN

Don't know where your looken as i have no problems finding the wide flange sleeves as i have done a bunch of 263to 291 change overs . I get my kits from a engine parts supply house . Don't know where ya got yours from but ya can also get the sleeves ya need from Case I H . ya just pay about a 100 bucks more a hole then i do . Word to the wise , never order engine parts before ya tear one all the way down and mic. EVERYTHING Then you order parts while the block head and crank are at the machine shop.
