IH b275

I just bought a IH b275, which I thought was only made as a diesel. Anyways, the stamp on the housing by the clutch says "b275 serial 575" but the tractor is a gas job. The manual I have only has the b275 listed as a diesel. Now, doesn"t matter to me too much till I need a part, so??

Hi Zac, never saw a gas B-275 but its bigger brother the B-414 had a gas BC-144 engine or a BD-154 Diesel engine. Possibly someone fitted a BC-144 gas engine into your B-275. I have Operator's Manual for B-414 and it covers both gas and Diesel engines.

jim do you know if the brake disks are interchangeable i have one that needs brakes but cant find any

Hi Pat, re disk brake pads, went to caseih.com parts and for B414 the brake disk is:
378697R91 BRAKE DISC DISC ASSY, BRAKE
Looked at caseih for B275 and part has been discontinued.

Looked in my OEM catalogue and it says:
Early model B275 & B414 4 Pad OD=5.625", ID=3.375" IH704422 or can also use IH1975457 (same as SuperH, Super W4, 300, 350).

Late model B275 & B414 4 Pad OD=6.500", ID=3.500", 10 spline IH3064174 can also use IH1975464(this is same as 354,364,384,444)

I know we had an early B414 and the brake disks were smaller than the later 434 & 384 that we had.

I have to correct myself, I went to the Serial Numbers on left of this page and found listing for B275 gas:
