I have a 1944 Farmall-A with a pneumatic lift set up on the left side of the tractor to lift an implement attachment on the rear of the tractor.

Can this lift be rebuilt to be able to lift and hold a 3-point mounted brush hog?
Is the lift supposed to hole position even when the exhaust is routed to exit the muffler?

My A does not have a muffler. Is there any issue with using a muffler if the tractor has a pneumatic lift.

Any help would be appreciated.
