been trying to sell a 1970 826 gold demo for 9000 dollars, one of two hundred gear shift made and no one seems to be interested. if this tractor was painted green the dern thing would be worth 25000 dollars and people lined up to but it. WHY???

Send me some pictures of your gold demo, I know where I can pick one up for around 4500.00 right now but would be interested in seeing yours too.

You don't state the condition of the tractor, tires, paint, ect. A nice clean straight 826 with good rubber, straight tin and is good operating condition would go for around the $6500 range depending on region of the country you are in. Sorry to say but a gold paint job on a tractor the size of an 826 does not mean much to someone looking for that size of tractor. IE, not many collectors for that large a tractor and very pricey to haul long distances.

if you know there were only two hundred gear drives made you know something no other ih buff knows. would love to see your production numbers facts.

Just about every 826 I"ve seen has been gear drive. Must be a high concentration of rare tractors in SE MN!

Perhaps there were 200 gear drive gold demo 826s made?

826 was available gear drive or hydro. Our neighbor had a gear drive...
