I have just ran a compression test on my tractor. I have a craftsman dial type tester. I pulled the plugs, and put in the tester. When I crank the engine. It reads right at 150 (or close to it)psi on each cylinder. I was thinking that brand new they only had 115psi. Is this wrong, or am I doing it wrong. Please help.

Probably been rebuilt sometime over the past 50+ years. Might have put in high compression pistons, oversize pistons, or both.
