I've tried to adjust the lifters. There are two that I can't adjust as there is a loud popping and no more screw left.Is it possible the lifter moved when I pulled push rod?If so how do I correct this? Thanks!

You should be able to tell if the lifter has moved when the valve cover is off and crank the engine over and make sure that all valves move up and down while engine is turning over. If lifter has moved out of its hole, pull side cover on engine and place lifter in its hole with the correct side up. good luck !!

You were right on track!!I had two lifters rolling around. Alot easier to adjust with lifters in place.LOL.Now,not to bend your ear but she fires off but the injectors and nozzles are spitting fuel.Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help. ARKIE

Hi ARKIE, It sounds as if the nozzles are not tight. Did you put new washers in the head before installing the nozzles? make sure that the nozzle holes are pointing down towards the pistons. e-mail is welcome.
