swapping intake/exhaust manifolds

I have a 1941 Model H Farmall, serial # FBH 56536 (gas engine, 4 cylinder). Will the intake/exhaust manifold off a 1946 Model M Farmall, serial # FBK 111573 fit on the 1941 Model H ? (Also gas engine, 4 cylinder). Also, the model H actually is stamped HX6 under model designation. What does the X6 indicate ? Also, the Model M serial number ends 111573X6. What does the X6 indicate after the serial number ?

I'm pretty sure the H and M manifolds are different. The X6 in the serial number means that that tractor has optional low speed gears.

i"m not swapping but just replaced my exhaust manifold with a new one-i torqued the nuts to 20 ft/lbs and started up-ran to warm up and check-all seems well-i need to know if i need to re-torque after she cools off -any ideas and how many ft/lbs-thanks-hank

When I put a new manifold on any of my tractors, I just tighten them down real tight and leave it, as long as yours are tight so that there are no leaks, it will be fine.
