yesterday i found a small farmall in a field with weeds and such grown up around it. it has a belt pully and power take off to the left and in the rear of the seat.there are three gears and reverse.old markings say mccormack farmall. there are numbers on the rear axel. The front wheels look offset. can anyone out there tell me the year and value.owner is asking $950.00.thanks in advance.

You could be descibing a Cub or an A. Is it a wide front? Does it run or is it frozen? What kind of shape are the tires and rims in? If the engine is locked up or don't run, if tires and rims are not usable, it would not be worth mroe than scrap price, about 1/2 what he is asking. If you need tires, that could set you back about $500.00 for rears and another $125.00 for fronts. Can you post pictures? That would help a lot.

An A has four forward gears and reverse.

This sounds like a Cub. The serial number plate should be on the right side next to where the steering shaft enters the front end of the tractor.

Small Farmall. As compared to what? With a 3 speed transmission, you could be describing a Farmall Regular or F-20.

With the 3-speed, front offset, PTO to the left and pulley behind the seat, I'll second it bein' a Cub.

Couldn't tell the year without the serial number. Price has to do with condition and whether and how bad you want it. Guidance on all these issues ae below. If the motor isn't stuck and it seems like it can be put in runnin' order, that price isn't out of whack. Implements would be a plus.

Wide front or trike front?? If trike front it could be a B. Now as for the price it it runs that sound like a good price it the tires are in fair shape. If it doesn't run that sound a tad high

Yea, did not pay attention to the gear describing, so, yep, probably a Cub.

finally got hold of the real owner. its a 1949 cub d has four gears and reverse. front wheels are wide stance. owner says grandkids left it in field after driving it around. he started it up no smoke runs great. is is worth the 900 i got him down to?

A good cub is easily worth 900 dollars. Look for welded places on the axle, drive it in all gears to check for noise, etc... Does it have cultivators or any implements with it?
