B Farmall Tractor Parts and help

Our 4-H youth are trying to restore a B Farmall Tractor to show. We are a non profit organization in need of parts and any help you may can give. We are a new group with little funds available and these kids are very excited about this project. If you can help or know of any resources we can go to please let us know.

As far as help and advice, you'll find plenty here.

Most critical will be the manuals, though. Operator's manual is a must. Either the I&T IH-8, or the IH Blue Ribbon Service manual (better yet, both -- they overlap a WHOLE lot, but each has little tidbits in it that the other doesn't -- if you choose just one, the IH Blue Ribbon will probably be easier to use for your project) and a parts catalog.

They're all available from the store on this site or from www.external_link. I don't want to start a run on either company, but you might inquire of them whether they might discount the cost or donate those things to a project like yours.

You might also seek out local help (again donated or discounted) for some of those things that would require tools or machines that the youngsters likely wouldn't have access to (I'm thinkin' things like valve grinding . . .)

What is your location as freight can be expensive. I have some parts and would be willing to help. I have restored deveral. The I@T manual gives all the spects and shows how to remove and service everything.

I don't think you could have picked a better tractor. Easy to work on and also to drive/handle. My 12 year old daughter and I have been working on one for the past year.

THIS PROJECT IS NEW TO US WE JUST STARTED A NEW 4-H HERE AND THIS IS OUR FIRST THING TO TRY. WE SHOW HEIFER AND STEERS TRACTORS SOMTHING NEW TO US THERE ARE ALOT OF TRACTOR SHOW FOR JUINORS THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS WILL HAVE FIRST SHOW THIS YEAR. SO WE CAN USE ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET THANK YOU
