Finally got the little bugs worked out of my SA and started bush hogging last week. Well one of my back tires went flat, being the cheap man I am I decided to fix it myself. Well I broke it down and found that the tube had too big of a hole to patch. A trip to town and I was back home with a new tube installed it and back to the field I went. Next day back to the shed and the same tire was flat again. I had pinched the tube putting it in, back to town another tube and I was more careful putting this one in. Today I was laying off rows in the garden to plant peas and the front tire up and not only goes down but comes apart on me. You got to love these old tractors. Looks like the front tire is the one that came on it in 1948 though so I guess I can"t complain. The tire man loves me though.

You gotta love it! I had a back tire on my SA that kept going flat. I went to the trouble of removing the tube and couldn't find a hole. The valve core was loose! Smacked myself in the head a couple of times for that one.
While mowing, I noticed something stuck to one of my front tires. On closer inspection, I realized it was the tube sticking out of a hole in the tire. I tied a rag around it to get me back to the shed. Luckily, my tire man had one on hand. Still, I'm sure my tire guy doesn't love me as much as yours does you. The big ones get kinda pricey!

My next door neighbor has a JD rider mower and a couple weeks ago he noticed one front tire had a bulge (hole) in the center of the tread. He wrapped a few layers of duct tape around the tire, and I noticed yesterday he still has it on there. Says he is giving it the torture test!
