Just brought home a 1486.It has been sitting about 1 year.Runs great but will slip easily in high gear.
Makes no difference if in direct drive or TA.Hytrans is low and I"m sure it needs a filter. Is it time to put in a TA.
How could I make sure it is not the engine clutch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yup I agree with Allan.

It would slip in the lower gears also if it was the TA.

Engine clutch slips in higher gears first. And soon it will be all gears.

Years ago I dorve an M home from a farm sale with a wheel disc.; Dad had bought the disc and the neighbot bought the M You could let out the clutchat half throttle in high and it took off like a fluid drive. Once it got m,oving a little it grabbed an held good. They had to put a clutchin it shortly after.
