tube with salt water

iam working on back end of h now. one rim rotted bad. the tire is not very good but the money is running out. would a tube that was full of salt water still be good or should i just order a new one? saw some 38 inch tubes on ebay. thanks

The salt water will have done the tube no harm at all. Take a close look at the valve stem, though.

Well to tell the truth its not salt water but close o it as in another form of salt. Normal salt is NACL and the stuff used in tires in CACL. One is sodium and the other is calcium. But not it does not hurt the tubes but it does hurt the rims if you get a leak

As long as the tubes are clean and dry on the OUTSIDE when you install them, they will be fine.
