Cub Decal and Overspray Removal

I have located all the other decals on my Cub but where does the decal "Clean breather with Kerosene and dip in oil every 120 hours" suppose to go? Also, is there any safe to remove paint overspray from the front tires?

Hi , Can't help you with the decal but I might be able to with the over spray . It sorta depends on how old everything is IE: the tires and paint . Old tires with old paint isn't always easy . First and easiest is hot water pressure wash ( steams best with a pinpoint tip ) . If that doesn't do it then try a Napa product called Kleanz Eazy . I don't know what the long term effects to the rubber are but it's taken paint off the trailer tires at work . Ya might want to just try paint thinner first , it works for fresher paint . Just about anything is going to be a lot of elbow grease except the power washer . Hint - Next time you or whoever paints near a tire coat it with vaseline first . Paint won't stick then . Armor-all works too from what I hear but I haven't tried it myself . Or the old tried and true - 2" masking tape , some newspaper and a razor blade . Good luck ! ...Randy

The decal goes under the oil breather tube on the oil pan. If you have access to the book "Original Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet" by Kennith Updike, look at page 23. Or page 135 of "Farmall Letter Series Tractor" by Guy Fay and Andy Kraushaar
