Semi-Trailing Plow on a Farmall Cub

I stumbled upon this excellent video of a rear mounted disk plow on a Cub. The ground looks hard, but the Cub is doing a great job making a sharp looking furrow. The notes below the video debate if the plow was designed for the Cub or was it originally a horse drawn implement. What do you think?

Love hearing that Cub run and watching that semi-trailing plow turn dirt.

That video was made by John *.?-!.* Cub Owner - who also frequents this forum. It is a Cub 152 disk plow. Definitely not a horse-drawn implement.

Thanks for making the video available. It's like going back in time to the 1950s here, except the plow on my Grandfather's Cub was simpler in design. The toughness of the Cub tractor comes through in that video. Mark SW Wis.

yup, that one is mine and was made for the cub. They also made a 2 disk version called a harrow plow, that plowed a wider but shallower furrow, a belly mounted disk plow, plus a single bottom molboard plow and a 2 way molboard plow for the cub. Here is a link to a brochure I scanned, that was printed in late 1945 introducing the up coming cub. The rear disk plow, as well as several other implements are shown in it.
