Break valve leaking on 484

On my 484 I found a leak on teh brake valve for the right side. Under the dash where the valve is the rod that the pedal pushes in is leaking around it. WHat kind of seal is in there and is it hard to fix?

Michael, I think it is just o-rings. Been a long time since I worked on mine.

Michael, so you found the problem with your brakes. Good detective work. Caseih.com parts indicates there is a seal kit available. I believe the brakes are just like the master cylinders that were on older cars before power brakes. Just check for burrs and maybe hone the cylinder.

I didnt have a chance to look at it today, I had to go watch a friend blow his motor up in his truck. I hope its just a O ring. I have a broken collar bone so it doesnt take much to make it a big job for me.
