Farmall M Wheel Weight Price

What would be a ballpark price to expect to pay for rear wheel weights for a Farmall M? I'm in SW Wisconsin. Just wanted to get an idea of what is fair before starting to look (especially with the scrap price so high).

And, what are the options in wheel weights? Just looking for work traction, not for pulling, etc. The tractor has the common silver rims that bolt/clamp to cast center hubs. Thanks for the help.

The rear wheel weights you are looking for are the same weights that fit everything from the Farmall C/super C all the way up to the last tractor that IH built, and the later split weights will also fit/interchange. Those weights are everywhere, and there is nothing rare about any of them. In the past, I have paid as little as $35 for a pair, but those same weights now will bring a minimum of $35 EACH. Blame it on the price of scrap iron.

The price for those is very variable...it all depends on who has them and how many they have. Traditionally, $80 a set would be pretty close to a fair price. I recently attended an auction with a whole lot of them, and only had to pay $20 a set. So, the range is large. Good luck on the search!

I found a set of Farmall rear wheel weights at the scrap yard a few weeks ago, bought them from the scrap yard for $75.00 and put them on my Dad's Super MTA, the SMTA already had weights, but now it has 2 on each wheel.

Here in NE PA 1 piece weights go for approx $75 a set The 2 piece,(much easier to put on), go for approx. $125 for a set. Also they are harder to find around here. Brissco

In a recent Redpower Magazine there was an adv for fiberglass "look exactly like cast" wheel weights. Great for parades / shipping / paint retention /not so good for added traction! My nickel Dick Davis
